Lazy Italian

It's been hard to keep up with the blog lately, so sorry to all about the gap between posts. As I sink more into my Roman lifestyle, my days become less remarkable but somehow more enjoyable. I've finally found the areas of Rome I can wander for hours and do absolutely nothing in for days. Between picnics in the park, tripping along the cobblestones, and convincing myself I know where I'm going, days slip away.
Particular moments of note form the past week:
Three wonderful friends from St. Lawrence visited last weekend, and acting as tour guide we had an unforgettable weekend in the sun. While Rome is a fun place no matter what, having good friends by your side makes the city feel even more alive.
Had a wonderful encounter with a gluten-free restaurant last night. Who knew that in Rome, and just off Campo de Fiori, you can get gluten-free pizza, beer, suppli, and cake?

Today explored the Sunday market in Trestevere with Leise. If anyone is in dire need of watch batteries, refrigerator magnets, old school diving helmets, or fifteen metallic elephants, this is the place to visit (pictured above).

This week marks midterms and with it midterm exams. On Thursday I leave to adventure though Venice with the lovely Holly, then on to Scotland to enroll in Hogwarts and find Nessie. Please direct your owls there.
